Climate Change & AI for Sustainable Finance

Lucas is an early career researcher in Geography and the Environment at the University of Oxford. His research examines how technology is changing the availability of company environmental risk information. He works with earth observation and machine learning to produce new data and methods for the practise of sustainable finance. He is the co-founder of Oxford Earth Observation (OxEO), an environmental risk intelligence start-up. He has held visiting researcher positions at Stanford University and Imperial College London. His research is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, DescartesLabs’ Impact Science Programme, and computing grants from Amazon, Google, and Microsoft’s AIforEarth.
